NNA - At approximately 8:10 a.m. on Friday, Israeli enemy warplanes launched an airstrike on the southern Lebanese town of Ansar, marking the latest escalation in a series of aerial bombardments across southern Lebanon.

Earlier this morning, at dawn, four successive airstrikes targeted the town of Sijed in the Iqlim al-Tuffah region. 

Another airstrike hit Dawoud street in the town of Doueir at around 8 a.m.

Israeli reconnaissance and unmanned aerial vehicles have also been observed intensively flying over the villages of Mansouri and Majdal Zoun.

In Tyre, Israeli enemy forces have sustained their assaults on towns and villages in the districts of Tyre and Bint Jbeil since midnight, striking various locations throughout the night. 

Entire neighborhoods, including in Hay al-Housh and the Rez residential area, have been severely damaged. 

The towns of Ramiyeh and Baraachit  were also hit, while consecutive air raids on Majdal Silm resulted in the destruction of the town’s historic mosque. The towns of Hadatha and Yater also came under aerial attack.

Before dawn, Israeli artillery targeted the towns of Aita al-Shaab, Ramiyeh, al-Dhaira, Bustan, Maroun al-Ras, and Yaroun, with heavy shelling lasting over 30 minutes. 

Israeli heavy machine guns were also fired toward the towns of Marwahin and Tarbikha in the western sector.

Moreover, the enemy drones, which unusually flew at low altitudes overnight and into the morning, were reported along villages bordering the Litani River. Additionally, Israeli forces fired illumination flares over border villages near the occupied Palestinian territories.

In Marjayoun, artillery shelling intermittently hit the outskirts of Maroun al-Ras and Yaron.

At around 4 a.m., a hostile drone fired a guided missile at the town of Kafr Rumman. 

The town had already been hit by two successive airstrikes before midnight. Other airstrikes targeted the outskirts of Aita al-Shaab near the village of Debel and the town of Hanin.
