NNA - A 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck the requipa region in southern Peru on Sunday, according to what the National Institute of Geophysics announced, as reported by Agence France-Presse.

The earthquake, whose epicenter was in the Pacific Ocean, occurred near Caravelli province in the Arequipa region at a depth of 25 kilometers, according to the institute. The authorities did not issue a tsunami warning.
