Mikati assesses Vocational and Technical Education examination's progress in Tripoli

NNA – Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Thursday inspected the ongoing official vocational examinations in Tripoli during a visit to the "Teacher Ahmad Oweidah Institute" center in the Mina area of the city. He was accompanied by the Director-General of Vocational and Technical Education, Mrs. Hanadi Berri.

Prime Minister Mikati toured the examination rooms, listening to students' concerns and their opinions about the exam questions.

"Despite the myriad challenges our country faces today, we see a glimmer of hope in the young men and women who are determined to continue their educational journey. This achievement would not have been possible without the persistent efforts of the Ministry of Education, Minister Abbas Halabi, and the relevant directorates, particularly the Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education and the Directorate of Secondary Education, which have taken all necessary measures to conduct these exams,” Mikati remarked.

"We congratulate the Ministry of Education and hope to soon congratulate the students on their success, as we look forward to a new generation that aspires to lead with hope and ambition,” the PM added.

Responding to a question about the risks faced by students in South Lebanon, Mikati said, "All examination centers in the South are operating normally, with an absentee rate of less than one percent. This demonstrates the determination of the southern residents to remain steadfast on their land. Today, we started our tour in Tripoli and will continue with visits to examination centers in the South and other regions."
