Makary from Tunisia: We urge the world to witness Israel's crimes with both eyes; its genocide must end

NNA – The Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) on Thursday inaugurated its annual exhibition in the Tunisian capital, part of the Radio and Television Festival. The event gathers numerous Arab and foreign media institutions.

During the exhibition, Caretaker Minister of Information, Engineer Ziad Al-Makary, leading a delegation including Dr. Hassan Falha, Director General of the Ministry, and Mohammad Gharib, Director of Radio Lebanon, stated: "Lebanon, an ASBU member, values strong Arab relations. This occasion enhances Lebanon's media ties with its Arab brethren. We are pleased to participate in all activities."

"Few know Lebanon faces war conditions, with daily shelling in the south. Tens of thousands of southern Lebanese are displaced, with millions of agricultural lands destroyed. We handle this seriously within our government's capabilities. Palestine endures genocide before the world's eyes; we hope this crime stops,” Makary added.

Regarding Lebanon's internal situation, Al-Makari noted, "Despite turmoil, life continues, and tourism thrives, contrasting with Israel's conditions. Our call today is global: witness Israel's crimes with both eyes; its genocide must end. We urge immediate ceasefire."

"Our Tunisian Ambassador and the reciprocal Tunisian Ambassador in Lebanon strengthen bilateral relations daily. We aim to request Tunisia resume Tunisair flights to Beirut, easing travel burdens as current routes are challenging,” Makary concluded.
