NNA - Keeping up with the massive snow storm “Hiba”, which is currently hitting Lebanon, bulldozers belonging to the Ministry of Public Works on Wednesday shoveled accumulated snow blocking main roads in the villages of: Ainata, Al-Blaiqa, Al-Mashitiyah, Deir Al-Ahmar, and Al-Yamouneh. 

Under the directives of Minister Ali Hamieh, shoveling operations have been ongoing since last night to open Dahr al- Baidar-Beirut and Tarshish - Zahle roads to keep them clear. Salt is being sprinkled on a regular basis on these roads to melt the ice. 

Bulldozers also carried out similar operations on Wednesday morning to open Al-Masnaa - Jdeidet Yabous road, on which a light layer of snow had formed. 

Meanwhile, municipalities have been carrying out snow shoveling operations along internal roads.
