NNA - MP Fouad Makhzoumi mourned this afternoon the passing of Lebanese writer and producer Marawan Najjar, in a tweet deeming his absence "a huge and painful loss for Lebanon and the Arab world."

He added that the late Najjar "will remain immortal in our minds through his lyrical, theatrical and dramatic works that distinguished him, and were enjoyed and passed on to generations over the years."

"May his soul rest in peace and sincere condolences and prayers for patience and solace to his family and loved ones," Makhzoumi concluded
