NNA - Member of the "Democratic Gathering", MP Bilal Abdallah, tweeted today on the issue of depositors' money, saying: "When it is required to withdraw the Lebanese pound from the market to reduce inflation, many sides, including the Central Bank of Lebanon, work to reduce the dollar peg, and this is what happened yesterday...Thus, it can derived that the opposite is also true: when we need the dollar, we raise its price in the market, meaning that the depositor is the only victim of the banking and exchange system in both cases!"
