NNA - Caretaker Minister of Youth and Sports, George Kallas, on Friday departed Beirut bound for New York to attend the "Empowering Youth through Global Partnerships" conference, scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, September 21, at the United Nations headquarters.

The event is part of the Youth and Future Summit.

Kallas had received an invitation to participate and deliver a speech on behalf of Lebanon from the government of Qatar, UNICEF, the Education Above All Foundation, and Generation Unlimited.

His speech will focus on the main topic: the "Youth Empowerment Project in Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan to Address Climate Change," emphasizing adaptation measures and access to employment opportunities.
