NNA - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the families of the hostages on Tuesday that a deal to free their loved ones may be close, Reuters reports.

"The conditions have become suitable. This is a good sign," Netanyahu said in Washington, where he will meet with US President Joe Biden.

Efforts to reach a cease-fire agreement in Gaza, outlined by Biden and brokered by Egypt and Qatar, have intensified in recent months.

On Friday, the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, said that the negotiators are "reaching the goal".--agencies
