NNA - Around 100 demonstrators gathered in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, on Saturday to march for peace and justice in Lebanon and Gaza, an AFP correspondent reported.

During the march, which stretched for about 1.5 kilometers near the center of Dakar and was organized by the Lebanese community in Senegal, the demonstrators chanted slogans such as "Israel is a criminal" and "Free Lebanon." The participants also held up banners denouncing the war in Gaza.

One of the spokesmen for the demonstrators, Zaher Zeidan, told AFP: "We cannot but sympathize with the suffering of those who see their country bein g torn apart every day. It is time for the violence to stop. We are marching to denounce injustice."

He considered that "the war in Lebanon and Gaza is an indescribable tragedy and genocide."
