NNA - The defense ministers of the "G7" expressed their "concern" on Saturday about the "threats" targeting "UNIFIL", accusing Israel of deliberately targeting its positions since the escalation of confrontations between it and "Hezbollah" last month, according to "Agence France-Presse".

The defense ministers of the United States, France, Germany, Britain, Italy, Canada, and Japan said in a joint statement issued in Naples that they were "concerned about the recent developments in Lebanon and the risk of further escalation."

They added: “We express our concern about all threats to the security of UNIFIL. The protection of peacekeepers is (a responsibility) borne by all parties to any conflict.”
