NNA - Ukraine said on Monday it had asked the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross to visit the Ukrainian-occupied part of Russia's Kursk region, according to AFP.

"I have instructed the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to formally invite the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross to join the humanitarian efforts in the Kursk region. Ukraine is ready to facilitate their work and demonstrate its commitment to international humanitarian law," Foreign Minister Andriy Sypiga wrote on Twitter.
