NNA – Caretaker Finance Minister, Youssef Khalil, on Tuesday reiterated the Ministry of Finance's commitment to presenting the 2025 budget on schedule. During an administrative meeting on the budget preparation progress, Khalil emphasized the importance of maintaining financial and monetary stability while enhancing social spending efficiency to improve public services amidst limited funding.

Moreover, Khalil stressed the need to develop and refine budget preparation processes, particularly for the Ministries of Health, Education, Higher Education, and Social Affairs. He called for these budgets to reflect strategic and reformative perspectives, incorporating recommendations from technical missions.

Meanwhile, donor representatives discussed the expected share of social spending, highlighting the international community's continued support for Lebanon. They indicated that, given the current circumstances, future support would increasingly focus on the security sector. The donors expressed their commitment to guiding social sector support, ensuring effective use of resources in the upcoming phase.
