NNA - Head of the Lebanese Economic Committees, former minister Mohammad Choucair, on Friday welcomed at the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Chamber headquarters, the new Bangladeshi Ambassador to Lebanon, Javed Tanveer Khan, who came on an acquaintance visit.
Discussions reportedly touched on ways to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries.
Choucair welcomed the Ambassador, and stressed “the Lebanese private sector’s interest in expanding the horizons of economic cooperation with the friendly country of Bangladesh.”
As Choucair pointed out that “there are many opportunities available in various sectors,” he stressed “the necessity of increasing communication between businessmen in the two countries to develop a vision for achieving progress on the path of developing bilateral economic relations and enhancing cooperation between the private sectors in the two countries.”
Ambassador Tanveer Khan, in turn, hailed the Lebanese private sector's dynamism and successes, and pointed out “the Bangladeshi private sector’s interest in strengthening cooperation with its Lebanese counterpart.” The Bangladeshi Ambassador also expressed his country's readiness to "take all the steps required to develop the bilateral economic relations."
