NNA - Head of the Lebanese Economic Committees, former minister Mohammad Choucair, on Thursday welcomed at the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Chamber headquarters, the President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Khalil Haj Tawfiq.
The pair reportedly discussed ways to develop the bilateral economic relations and enhance cooperation between the private sectors in the two countries.
Choucair hailed the "brotherly relations between Lebanon and Jordan," stressing the need to work and endeavor to achieve a quantum leap in the bilateral economic relations.
For his part, Tawfiq hailed Choucair's "efforts and ideas to develop bilateral economic relations," and highlighted "the strong partnership with the Lebanese private sector and the joint endeavor to enhance cooperation and develop economic relations at various levels."
At the conclusion of the talks, both sides agreed to exchange visits and organize business meetings for businessmen in the two countries, to identify available opportunities and open the way for establishing business partnerships between them.
