NNA - Caretaker Finance Minister, Dr. Youssef El-Khalil, on Thursday received in his office at the ministry, Head of the regional economic team for the Middle East, Francois Sporrer, with a delegation from the French Embassy in Beirut.

Discussions reportedly touched on economic and financial issues, especially the reform policies that will be implemented with the publication of the 2022 state budget.

Sporrer expressed his country's readiness to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Finance in light of its developmental needs in this regard.

In turn, Minister El-Khalil expressed keenness on joint cooperation between the Lebanese and French states, briefing the delegation on the path of the 2023 state budget, which carries reform items that falls within the economic and financial recovery plan.

On the other hand, Minister Khalil chaired a technical meeting attended by a World Bank delegation, devoted to discussing customs issues.
