NNA - Caretaker Minister of Industry, MP George Bouchkian, arrived in the Jordanian capital, Amman, this evening, to participate in the Arab Summit on Entrepreneurship organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA).
The Summit aims to assist owners of Arab small and medium enterprises in accessing regional and international markets, dealing with various sources of financing, benefiting from regional and international networks, and increasing their ability to expand.
In this connection, Bouchkian considered that "ESCWA has experts, experiences, conclusions, recommendations, extensive studies and several years of activities that can be built upon...in addition to international experiences in support of small and medium enterprises."
He thanked Jordan for its continuous support to Lebanon, placing the Lebanese participation in said Summit "within the framework of exchanging expertise, listening to and benefiting from the experiences of others..."
"Startup projects have begun to expand in Lebanon, through investors and young entrepreneurs...They set out to establish pioneering institutions in informatics, software and technology and have excelled in these fields in many foreign markets,” the Industry Minister underscored.
It is to note that the Summit opens its works in the Jordanian capital on Sunday, October 30, and lasts for three days.
