NNA - Caretaker Minister of Energy and Water, Dr. Walid Fayad, on Monday welcomed the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Eng. Tarek El Molla, in presence of President of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company, Dr. Magdy Galal.

The meeting confirmed Egypt's commitment and readiness to quickly pump natural gas to Lebanon, as soon as the procedures to start exporting and receiving Egyptian gas are completed.

For his part, the Egyptian minister affirmed his country's readiness to provide Lebanon with all the needed support, assistance, and expertise in various petroleum-related activities, within the framework of the strong relations and ties that unite the two countries. 

For his part, Fayad thanked the Egyptian state’s leadership and people, “for its supportive stances in favor of the Lebanese state, especially amid this crucial stage.”
