NNA – On the sidelines of the Arab Labor Conference held in Cairo, the Caretaker Minister of Labor, Mustafa Bayram, held a significant meeting with Qatari Labor Minister, Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al-Marri, during which both men agreed on quick execution steps represented in receiving a Qatari technical delegation in Beirut to present to the Lebanese Labor Minister a list of skills, professions and jobs that Qatar needs from Lebanese workers, alongside activating the memorandum of understanding between both countries to ensure the legal status of workers.
He also met with the Director-General of the Arab Labor Organization, Fayez Ali Al-Mutairi, who praised Minister Bayram's launch of the accelerated vocational training file in various Lebanese regions, pledging to provide the logistical support necessary for the establishment of several high-level vocational training courses with a certificate issued by the Organization and the Lebanese Ministry of Labor.
On another note, the opening ceremony of the 48th session of the Arab Labor Conference included the presentation of an honorary shield to Minister Bayram.
Additionally, a group of Arab pioneers were also honored, including two Lebanese figures, namely the late Khalil Sherri on behalf of employers (through his family) and Saadeddine Hamidi Sakr on behalf of workers.
Minister Bayram will be delivering Lebanon's address during the Conference’s evening session today.
