NNA - Caretaker Economy Minister Amin Salam on Thursday sounded the alarm on Lebanon’s agricultural, productive, and industrial sectors amid the constant power outage and the severe shortage of fuel.
Salam began today a tour in the Bekaa region. He made his first stop at the Zahle town of Nasriyeh, where he met with a number of farmers and industrialists. “All formers have one demand, which is diesel,” said Salam. “The rooms and fridges to store the produce need uninterrupted power supply,” he added. “Increasing production requires energy,” he said.
Salam later headed to the Baalbek-Hermel district and met with Governor Bashir Khodor.
Following the meeting, Salam underlined that subsidies will not be lifted off bread.
