NNA – House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Thursday received at the Second Presidency in Ain El-Tineh, Caretaker Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Abbas Al-Halabi, with whom he discussed the general situation and educational affairs.

On emerging, Minister Halabi said that the meeting was an opportunity to review the general national conditions, especially educational issues.

Speaker Berri later received in Ain El-Tineh, the new Ambassador of Italy to Lebanon, Fabrizio Marcelli, who paid him a protocol visit upon assuming his new diplomatic mission in the country.

The visit was an occasion to discuss the general situation in Lebanon and the region, and the bilateral relations between the two countries.

This afternoon, Berri welcomed in Ain El-Tineh, a delegation representing the "Strong Lebanon" parliamentary bloc, including MPs Selim Aoun, Cesar Abi Khalil, Nicolas Sehnaoui, Samer el-Tom, and Georges Atallah.

Discussions reportedly touched on the latest political developments, the displaced Syrians’ dossier, and legislative affairs.
