The biggest non nuclear explosion in history took place in Beirut harbor.

218 deaths, 7,500 injuries, 300,000 homeless and $15B in property damage.

Few days later, Anthony decided to share his personal experience through a 25 minute short documentary called “Beirut after 40”, His film tells his story seconds after the explosion;

it features exclusive footage shown for the first time based on surveillance cams; the film also includes testimonies from good Samaritans and medical personnel who acted as heroes and saviors during this tragedy.

Anthony is in consideration for oscars nomination for the first time, as first lebanese director eligible for the short documentary category.

Through “beirut after 40” he hope to shed more light on the horror his country had to endure and make sure the Lebanese story goes beyond borders, reaching the entire world.
