NNA – Within the framework of his meetings in Washington, Deputy House Speaker, Elias Bou Saab, met on Thursday at the Executive Office of the White House, with the US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, in the presence of the National Security Council coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa, Brett McGurk, and the Special Presidential Coordinator for energy security, Amos Hochstein.

The meeting touched on concluding the maritime borders demarcation and its post stage, and what Lebanon can achieve in terms of financial and economic recovery, according to a roadmap previously discussed between the two parties, within the framework of the fight against corruption and the adoption of relevant laws.

Discussions also dwelt on the presidential elections’ issue and the subsequent formation of the government to accompany the rescue operation and restore the confidence of the international community, with the necessity of preserving Lebanese sovereignty.

Talks also touched on the upcoming Paris meeting next week and the agreement with the International Monetary Fund.
